The Opportunity
As a volunteer-run organization, FSHS has limited resources, including not having a dedicated website. When the project began, their digital footprint was limited to a Facebook page, unverified Google Business Profiles, and an unclaimed Tripadvisor profile. After a three-year renovation project, the Depot Museum at Julesburg was ready for its grand reopening and needed a promotional launch plan.
The Solution
As an independent contractor for the CTO, Olivia developed consistent messaging for FSHS’s three museums, optimized their Facebook page, Google Business Profiles, and created two additional Tripadvisor profiles. To promote the Depot Museum at Juleburg’s grand reopening, she developed a magazine advertisement, a media kit for local publications and businesses to help promote the reopening, and a content calendar for Facebook and GBP to promote the soft opening event.
The Results
After updating the Facebook page and posting consistent content, FSHS’s Facebook page reach increased by 123% over a two-month period. Once FSHS’s Google Business Profiles were verified and optimized, the total combined profile views increased by 11%, and the total profile actions by 37% over a two-month period. The Depot Museum at Juleburg’s soft opening event was a huge community success with more than 150 attendees who came to celebrate and explore the newly renovated depot.
Having Olivia to guide us along as we updated, fine-tuned and engaged with the electronic world was a fantastic experience. She helped us to have a much better media presence and made each step of the way enjoyable. She was patient, kind, very knowledgeable and a joy to work with.”
